Why Bamboo?

Bamboo is one of the most sustainable resources in the world! Despite its tough exterior, bamboo is actually a grass. When harvested, the roots remain allowing it to quickly regrow. Bamboo does not require clear-cutting, artificial irrigation or replanting.

Bamboo is better for your kitchen too! It’s lightweight yet incredibly durable. Bamboo is gentler on knives than plastic and easier to clean and maintain than hardwood — it cleans quickly with hand washing in warm water.

  • When will my order ship? Where will it ship from?

    Orders typically ship out 3 to 5 business days after they are placed. All orders ship from our Texas warehouse. If an engraved-to-order item is included in your order, please allow up to 7 to 10 business days for your order to ship.

  • What are the different sides used for?

    The plastic board side is non-porous and perfect for cutting meat, fish and poultry. The bamboo sides is gentle on knives and ideal for slicing cheese, chopping vegetables, cutting fruit or as a dough board.

  • Is the Poly-Boo board dishwasher safe?

    The Poly-Boo board is not dishwasher safe. To clean, hand wash with warm water and soap.

  • Does the PolyBoo Board require oil for maintenance?

    Only the bamboo side of the Poly-Boo board would need oil. It is not necessary to use oil, however, oiled cutting boards are more hygienic, less likely to crack and look great. Oil helps to keep mold from growing and reduces water absorption which can lead to warping or cracking. It keeps boards hydrated and gives it a nice finish but isn’t needed.
