    Our lacquer is manufactured in compliance with FDA regulations for food contact materials.

  • What is the lacquer made of? And why is it on the bamboo?

    The bamboo utensils are coated with a food-safe lacquer to ensure their durability. For consumer safety, our products are regularly tested for compliance with all FDA requirements and recommendations. Coatings are tested to make sure there are no toxic materials including phenols (BPA, etc.) or heavy metals (cadmium, lead, etc.).
